Great News!

The Sun Magazine chose to publish one of my favorite photos! It’s on the inside back cover so lots of folks are going to see that. I’m so excited to have such an awesome magazine choose to use one of my photos! I started subscribing to them and decided to try to submit some photos after a friend pushed me to do so. I’m grateful for supportive friends!

I love the Sun Magazine! I hope you’ll subscribe to it as I have. It’s filled with great Essays, Interviews, Short Stories, Poetry, a beautiful letters to the editor section and of course, top quality black and white photography. NO ADS! Their description for themselves says:

Personal. Political. Provocative. Ad-free.

In each issue of The Sun you’ll find some of the most radically intimate and socially conscious writing being published today. In an age of media conglomerates, we’re something of an oddity: an ad-free, independent, reader-supported magazine.

Call them at 888-732-6736 to subscribe!

I’ll be back with more photos and thoughts in the future as I’ve just retired from my State job and have some more time on my hands….

If you’re interested in a print of this, or some of my other photos, check out my Fine Art America site!

  1. Congratulations Dave! That is so awesome! Bravo! I love this photo. And now it is historical, a reference photo. LOL. 🙂 I love the aged, weathered wood. 🙂 High five, Dave! 🙂

    1. Thanks Sheila! It was so fun to see this sign. It was hand done and i wondered about the folks that came to this place all those years with the sign up.

  2. Congratulations Dave!!!
I didn’t realize the Sun was still around. I need to pay more attention to what’s going on with the blog world!

  3. Hey Dave, huge Congratulations!!! That is so great and good for one’s morale! I am delighted to have run across your post!
I am struggling to update and my blog and want to spend more time on the “blog side of things.” It’s a bit quieter and more thoughtful here. I have no idea why I, apparently, wasn’t following you. Just goes to show how out of touch I was/am.
    With best wishes, christian
