I went to the Wilmington Kennel Club dog show at Lums Pond Delaware today to see Tess and Connie’s dog Breezy compete. I got this photo of them getting ready.
Getting ready!
Breezy got a Special point today. I’m not sure I understand it, but it’s a good thing.
While I was waiting for Breezy to come into the ring, I caught sight of this Neopolitan Mastif.
How could I resist?

I stopped here on the way into Shepherdstown ,W. Va for a multi day meeting. Normally I like simpler images, but for this one, I really liked the colors and chaos. I liked the people in the window too.

I stumbled on the War Correspondents Memorial and couldn’t resist making a photo of the Waiting Room.
Cool memorial to war correspondents and artists of both sides in the Civil War and following wars, erected in the 1890s
Fifer Orchards near Camden. I was interested in the idea that we have manipulated nature for our own ends, changing the world sometimes for the better, sometimes not. I did a series of Holga images with the same theme one day on lunch. I’ll post them when they come back from the lab. I love driving by the orchard every spring. The pink is just so refreshing. The day I shot this was a rare pretty blue sky day. Fruit trees in blossom Spring 2011
