Of the bazillion flower photos I’ve done, I’ve only really liked a handful of them. I recently culled about 50,000 photos from my library, and, sadly, lots of my flower photos were casualties. Anyways, when I saw the light and shadows playing on the daffodils in my back yard a few weeks ago, I went running for my camera. I don’t think this photo sucks, but reserve the right to change my mind at a later date.
The grass is still a little brown in this photograph. Spring is happening, but hasn’t gotten to all the plants yet. That’s one reason I love daffodils: they’re the first clue that the harsh winter is over and spring is coming.
