I like the snow to look at, but hate dealing with it as far as getting to work and watching out for the other knuckleheads on the road. Today, we’re snowed in, so I went out to see what I could see. I like the ideas of things in snow. When it snows it’s quiet and you can imagine what other folks are doing. There is also the idea of standing up to all conditions, as they come.
I like threes and trees so this is perfect.I love to take photos of benches.Love this barn, it’s on the road to my houseI’ve photographed this tree several times before, love the leading lines
Some photos from a little road trip I did this weekend. I went over to Baltimore to take care of some stuff and then went to Ellicott City, MD to see what it was all about. It was relatively warm and there were lots of folks walking about. Not ideal for the kinds of photos I like to do, but I did find these photos and had fun hanging out with a friend.
Time marches on, taking some things as it goesI liked how the stones were islands, surrounded by islands of iceI’m interested in how we arrange things to suit our needs. This empty vending machine seems to be waiting for spring
I headed out today to do some photos, basically following my nose. I hoped to see one of the Snowy Owls that have made it down to Delaware this year and stayed generally off Rt 1 in the beachy areas. I ended up going to Slaughter Beach because I could and got out to see what was up. There were practically no clouds in the sky when I started and by the time I was done it had started to cloud over. Anyways, I got these three photos I liked. It struck me as strange/cool for these long dead crabs to be back in the water again, albeit frozen.
It struck me it looked like the crab was going upstream against a current that was pushing back the grass tooI liked how some were in and some were out of the snowHere they are, frozen in time, a male and female crab in their mating ritual. The male is much smaller than the female in life and in death.
