Uncategorized Last for tonight January 13, 2011 Dave 2 Comments Here are some of the Holga photos I did at Gettysburg Battlefield New Years Eve day. I developed these myself too. The statue is life sized and seated on a bench. Tons of folks come up and sit with him for photos. I loved the light on the canon while I was there. I like to make my Holga images so they are ambiguous for when they were done. Was it a few weeks ago, or back in the 30s? Using Kodak Tri-x film adds to the ambiguity since it's been around so long. Apparently there were companies that had catalogs of available statues to combine with available bases to be used as markers on all the battlefields of the war in the 1880s and 90s A hundred yards or so to the left of this is "the Angle" where Picketts men surged to and were forced back from. Far back in the distance is the point the Rebels came onto the battlefied in full view of Union defenders Note there is a modern digital version of this in the post below this. As usual, awesome photos! Congrats on the cube grenade! Where are you going to hang it?
It’ll either be in the Man Cave or at work.
