I was moving back and forth down an alley to get the One Way sign double exposures and saw these mats behind a restaurant. I thought maybe all the circles and shadows would be interesting, and here we are! I actually rescued this photo out of the photo below that blew out for some reason. A light leak at some point I guess. Anyways… sometimes when things aren’t perfect there’s plenty of good there if we look for it. Bet you didn’t know you’d get some deep thoughts!
Should I have shared the before shot? Comment below!
I saw this railing outside The Lyric Theater in downtown Tupelo, Mississippi on my last trip there. I tried to line the cracks up for the corners to see what would happen, and I think this came out kind of cool. I like abstractions where you wonder for a bit what exactly you’re looking at.
I went to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond in January to see the Edward Hopper show there. It was a great show, in a beautiful museum! I’ve never been there before. It was definitely worth the 4 hours down and 4 hours back to see the show and museum. I loved the Faberge Eggs there too.
After the main course, I came on the Sculptures directly adjacent to the Museum and had to do some photos.
The awesome sculpture “Chloe” by Jaume Plensa got about 2 rolls of film dedicated to it! One black and white and the other color. It was a beautiful day for photos!
I did a double exposure of the Plensa sculpture and the Man and Vegetation sculpture by Sandro Chia. I’m never sure what I’m going to get when I do a double exposure, but I liked this!
