A colleague at work gave me a Kodak Tourist Camera from the late 40s. It is all manual, and a lot slower to use than a modern camera. You have to set the shutter speed, the aperture and the distance the subject is from the camera. Then you cock the shutter, look through a view finder that is a close approximation of what will be on the negative. The negative is 6×9 cm. It’s huge! I wasn’t sure if the camera would function, especially if the bellows on it was still light tight. No worries!

Here are some of the Holga photos I did at Gettysburg Battlefield New Years Eve day. I developed these myself too.
I like to make my Holga images so they are ambiguous for when they were done. Was it a few weeks ago, or back in the 30s? Using Kodak Tri-x film adds to the ambiguity since it's been around so long.
